Geektastic: Re news sites.

Add: spreading random Twitter farts through the text as if they were actually useful.

And the ubiquitous "Do you want notifications from this site?". Why can't "Never" be the default answer?

I agree, Never, is never offered as an option. Yes, there may be other ways to achieve this, but it's pretty arrogant to think no one will never want notifications and therefore not offer the option to opt out.

I have all the notifications on my phone off other than incoming call and text message. Other than that, no icons, no noises. Likewise on my computer.

Really, the last thing I need to know about is some post on Instagram or an email arriving or whatever. I will find out in my own due time thanks.

Here we go with Food Bag not thinking things through again. There's a 3-month programme you can join, which includes healthy food, recipes, tips on weight loss, etc. I've just come to the end of it and have lost a few kilos :)

So, two things happen at the end. You receive a printed cookbook, and you're asked to complete a survey. Completing the survey enters you into a draw for free food. It's drawn today, so obviously it needs to be completed sooner. One of the required questions is whether you enjoyed the cookbook. The cookbook which is part of the regular Monday delivery and therefore isn't in my hands yet...

The whole bun-fight over SS RWC. Not saying who/how/why/when - just the whole damn thing.

What do you do if they send you stuff you don't like to eat?

An unfortunate acronym, I wouldn't use it myself.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

It doesn't happen often, but either leave it out or just put up with it with the excuse that "it's healthy".

Ah. I expect it would happen to me about 5 days out of 7!

I dislike it too. I've seen people using Sp Sp.

When I used the acronym in the above post, it was totally innocent and not intended to be derogatory, offensive or smart A in any way. It wasn't even intended to be negative. I have previously used it many times here on GZ without it raising any comment.

Edit: Just out of interest I looked back through long threads and find that SS is a common acronym that has been used for over six months by lots of GZ posters - including by arguably the most frequent poster on the subject of Spark Sport.

The worst are TLAs used by TLAs (territorial local authorities, AKA councils).
