Kiwifan:

Did they speed up once they got to the passing lane like most of the other muppets do? Grrr.

Surprisingly they didn't, but you see it time and time again. Open road, someone's cruising at 90km/h, reach passing lane and now they've found the accelerator pedal actually can go down further and their car can magically go 105km/h!

People do this unconsciously. As the road widens, and they move further away from oncoming traffic they feel safer and speed up.

This also proves just how oblivious some people are when driving.

These people shouldn't be driving!

One of the reasons this happens is because passing lanes are often found in 'easy' sections of 'difficult' roads where people may not feel comfortable driving at 100. All of a sudden they find themselves in a nice straight road and naturally they speed up.

Maybe it hasn't occurred to the 4x4 rednecks that leaving their hood unlatched could be a recipe for disaster. Parking in a charging station and being funny could turn hilarious when some passing stranger removes their battery or even just unplugs a few connections.

I'm more impressed by the fact the owner of the company vehicle says it was in use on the weekend by an employee, he doesn't endorse the behaviour, and then threatened Stuff with legal action if they published his company name.

Anyone want to guess which employee is the douchebag?

Got an email from a company I've dealt with before.

"It's Enter your birthday! It's your birthday and we have a deal for you!"

So it's acting as if my "birthday" profile field has the default text ("Enter your birthday") in it. But today is my birthday, so it must be filled in. Bizarre...
