It’s an official corporate communication. It isn’t possible to be unduly critical. There should never be grammar, spelling or similar errors in corporate communications. Every piece should be checked and rechecked before release. It’s basic attention to detail and is absolutely 100% part of the day job for anyone doing corporate communications.

I am almost always happy to make a one-off donation and almost never happy to commit to a monthly payment. I notice that pretty much every charity seeking person now wants a subscription and if you decline the only option is to make a donation via the website, which invariably I forget to do.

I understand why they don't want people handling cash, but they should have some good and easy way to take a one-off donation. I would have suggested a text number with 3 numbers one for a $5 and another $10 and the last $20 or something.

I would donate more in those instances.

Also, I wish people seeking donations would have a short and long version, read my impatience and find the 10 second option to explain what the charity is and how much they are after :)

It's difficult to ascertain who the real beneficiary is many times. The company doing the "fundraising" or the "charity" they are supposedly working work for.

I had my eyes opened many years ago when I saw a guy on the a street sitting at a donation table for a handicapped/paraplegic association. I don't remember exactly who it was but he looked the part as if he was one of the people the fundraising was intended to help. He was wrapped in a blanket and he may have even been in a wheelchair though I don't remember for sure. There was certainly an effort made to make him look the part. Imagine my surprise to see him that same night up on the floor dancing in a local night club.

My bank unilaterally cancelling my company Visa Debit card due to Paypal-related fraudulent charging attempts, 4 working days before I leave on a business trip for 3 weeks in which I will be using that card many times a day - and then failing to deliver the replacement in time for my departure...

Reminds me of when I needed a ... T8? screwdriver. Couldn't find any, until I realised that the magic search terms were 'Nintendo DS screwdriver'. I wasn't working on a DS, but the sellers weren't bothering to list what the screwdriver actually was, just a machine that you could open with it.

Ha, really? I bet they are 480mbps, and 99.9% of kmart shoppers would not know the difference.

What the hell? This is 20 times slower than the fastest usb-c standard. Nothing super or ultra about it.

Also HDMI cables. Even Jaycar, who are slightly techy, don’t have specs on most of their cable packaging.

I thought USB 3.1 Gen 2 was capable of 10Gbps transfer speeds? and Gen 1 or 3.0 5Gbps?
