Well not feeling small now but.

Im trying to change my virgin flights and as we all know everyone else is trying to do this so its going to be busy with huge call waiting times and Im fine with that.

Modern ticketing is all online etc. Nice banner ad and text informing how we can change tickets without fees etc

So I thought Id just modify my existing booking to save a phone call. You know to help with the huge call volumes.

Online I go, tickets are available in November, price difference is $34 extra, fine, lets go.

Whats this $400 change fee your adding...

So now Im waiting on the phone...

Handle9: This should really be in the FUG. It's there for company names but not for politicians. While it seems like fun and games to call Trump or Peters funny names it always ends in this whataboutism nonsense. It's not hard to use proper names.

There is a line that should be drawn somewhere, as it has been in the case of Jacinda Ardern because of some unfortunate individuals who feel that a Labour female Prime Minister does not deserve to be taken seriously. However, I do not believe this should warrant a blanket policy that rejects all name jokes and word plays. That is a very blunt instrument. Most people, and certainly Geekzone moderators, are capable of judging when something crosses a line.

I happen to be a big fan of British humour in particular – the witty kind, not the Carry On kind – and a lot of it depends on caricature. Political caricature especially is a legitimate form of humour that can be used with devastating effect to deflate the pompous and self-important. I would hope that we have not become so precious here that we can’t have some fun with the names of those who cry out to be brought down a peg or two.

Jet skis, or to keep on topic, the very small brains of the people who ride them in pointless noisy figure eights in what would otherwise be a tranquil bay. I’ve got one doing donuts next to my boat now, he’s even giving himself a cheer every time he manages to do a 180 or a pathetic little jump off some chop
I can’t believe the government we’re going to ban incandescent light bulbs but not there things

Religious door knockers. I already have a sticker on my front door stating sales people do not knock. Why do the people selling religion think they're exempt from this?

To me either we allow no derogatory nicknames or it's open season. There are no great satirists here it's mostly narrow minded types from both sides taking pot shots. It's ironic that there are any number of posts whinging about Trump lowering the tone with his name calling but then the same people want the right to do it themselves.

Some people have short memories. I don't think it's go anything at all to do with gender. Try and tell the previous Labour female Prime Minister, Helen Clark she wasn't taken seriously, or Jenny Shipley for that matter.

People used to take the mickey out of John Key some calling him Jonkey for example. Some of you may remember the nick name for Robert Muldoon. I don't think Jacinda has been called anything as bad as that.

Some nicknames are funny. Some are dumb. Some are nasty. Most people can tell the difference.

You just need to stick a note on the door saying I HAVE CORONAVIRUS. They can then make the decision to either lead the curing hands of Jesus toward you, or be smart and run away.

Time for my android tablet's annual wipe. Is there an easy way to do this?
Back up, wipe, restore? Apple do this well but I don't know if android has caught up. I hate putting the icons in the same place, putting passwords in again etc.

So now Im waiting on the phone...

Got through in the end after 3.5 hours waiting.

Towards the end I had decided another 30 minutes or cordless phone battery going flat was going to result in just paying the 400 and trying to get to get it back later.

Lady on phone was lovely.
