Geektastic:
ilovemusic: ^^^ agreed, it is a comic book after all.

although it does appear the producers may be overcompensating a little in their response that s01 was a bit slow.

hope they don't run out of steam as there's 13 episodes this year compared to last year's 10.

What channel is it on?

Lightbox.

I'm part way through a series on Neon called 'Quarry'. Absolutely brilliant IMO - great story and acting - best series I've seen in quite a while (and that includes the latest series of Better Call Saul and Fargo that we finished watching recently).

It's set in Tennessee but several of the main roles are actually played by Brits - which has become a bit of a fad recently.

Geektastic:

Swift & Shift

An hilarious Australian comedy set in a courier depot. SWMBO and I were rolling around crying with laughter. Genius.

@Geektastic. Where seen would be helpful.

@Geektastic

Jeez, that's an old one.

Paul Fenech also did a show about bogans with the same crew. "Housos".

You'll cringe. :D

Housos and shift and swift are both hilarious series by the same crew.
The most 'aussie' stuff you will ever see and the word 'frenetic' only goes part way to describe the chaos. Wouldn't recommend to many people, but if you liked swift and shift then housos will appeal.
Was also an older series called fat pizza with a lot of the same crew. Had a young rebel Wilson in it way before she was famous.

Just watched Jack Irish on Netflix.

Surprisingly good. Also, who doesn't love a Studebaker?

Some quite fun characters, too.

Just started watching Bosch. Not bad. I'm only part way through my first Bosch book so nothing is ruined for me yet.

I have to download the third season and finish watching it - got my attention diverted to something else but this is in the queue now.

Some quite fun characters, too.

We watched Jack Irish (the series) the weekend before last and enjoyed it.

There are also three 90-minute features on Netflix (all made before the series). In order they are:

Bad Debts

Black Tide

Dead Point

All worth watching as well.

Yes, we watched all of them. It was really good - they should have made more. Much better than a lot of the tat that gets made into more series than one..!

Just watching a great series set in Ireland that is broadly similar in some aspects at least, called Jack Taylor. Very good - only one series, again.

Edit - actually there are 3 series but for some reason Netflix displays it as one series.

I was hoping to stream that and cast it to my TV from my phone but that isn't possible as far as I can tell.

The Amazon Prime app does not support Chromecast, rather unhelpfully.

I'm trying to work out a way of doing from my Mac now. Maybe I need to borrow someone's child to deal with it!!
