If you stay realistic, it's like a (social) quilt, if you pull too hard in one place on a limited budget, you'll be short in another. No matter what politicians tell us again to get elected. Normally, when a producer refuses to continue supplying a chain, it really only means one thing: the chain's price-setters were too outrageous.

In many cases you'll find it difficult to untangle the genuine use of funds, assets and purchases for charitable purposes from non-charitable purposes.

I think you'll tell me genuine charity fine that should be exempt, and tax should be applied only to profits resulting from or destined for religious purposes. Again in that case I think you'll be on difficult ground.

Consider a sports club maintaining facilities and getting cash and asset donations to support trips and prize givings and running a good size bar. Consider many well known genuine charities. The change you propose may also affect social enterprises. Not so many social enterprises are well known in NZ but there are many well known names overseas.

Stick to the topic guys and girls. If you see a need to discuss taxation of various entities do it on a thread for that.

B.S. Go and read the topic. It's not central to the thread topic.

Unless it’s in breach of the FUG there’s no reason this shouldn’t be part of this discussion.

If you don’t like that then the mods are the right people to discuss it with.

Perhaps you need to familiarise yourself with them.

Posts shall remain on topic. Off topic (OT) replies are not allowed, and the user should create a new topic if needed.

I really don't care one way or thr other what anyone thinks about Sanitarium's tax status. However I think the subject of how our supermarket duopoly works needs to be brought to the fore and polluting a thread like this with side issues like taxation isn't helpful to thr original topic matter.

If you think the posts are in breach report them. No one needs your permission to post here.

You asked about the FUG I was able to point out the relevant paragraph. You don't accept that.

I've noticed you seem to always find fault with one or two on this forum, me included. I've come to accept nothing I say will be agreeable to you.
