Smart meter needs to be read manually, more than six months now.  Power company doesn't want to solve the issue.

Anyone else have this issue?

yep , im with Pulse and they send a meter reader every month to read my smart meter. 2 years.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

Getting a flat tyre going uphill in the dark on a sharp curve. Calling AA where the child sounding operator kept asking me the number on the road I was broken down at. 'I’m on a hill on bla bla Road, there are no numbers!' Well ma’am I can’t send assistance without a number, it’s a very long road -, look around you.
'I am looking around me...there are trees and grass I am tipped backwards and lurched to one side and am dangerously close to being hit in the rear by cars that can’t see me.'
Eventually after my frustration reached fever pitch...he realised I was in Wellington not Auckland and sent a saviour.

Changing the region in your Microsoft account doesn't actually change the region. Hey Microsoft, you know that people move countries right?

The poor CSR had no idea what was happening either. They were super helpful but aaaarrgh!!!

Now 6 days later nothing is fixed and support can't give me an estimate of when it will be because they have no way to see what is going on. Of course being a major tech company the only way to make a complaint is to write a letter.

What a joke.

The fact that 3 days after dispatch, the NZ Post tracking site still says
“No information available”.

What’s the point of paying for tracked shipping?

The fact that my wife’s iPad has never managed to display the weather at all, despite having access to location etc as required, in two different houses 30km apart.

When someone places social media logos on their company vehicles or prominently displays them on their website.  Don't they realise they're only advertising someone else's business and not their own?

Jucy rentals (used to?) say 'Google Jucy' on them. I don't think they actually had anything to do with Google!

Same as sending something on Friday and paying for overnight service with Saturday delivery. More often than not it will be delivered Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning.

Fastway/Aramex 🙄

They leave a card to collect even though their website says they are doing contactless deliveries. Their website makes it hard to find their phone number - fortunately they're still using old Fastway cards with the number on it (0800 FASTWAY for anyone wondering).

The CSR arranges for redelivery tomorrow, says the package will be left at the door. He agreed that the package should have been left and doesn't know why it wasn't left. Maybe there is a gate, he suggests. No - there is no gate. Well, the courier just gave himself more work by not following the rules as he'll have to come back tomorrow.

Before someone suggests it - no, I'm not just going to go and pick it up from the depot. Besides being out of my way and besides the principle of the thing, they're pretty useless at the depot and keep you waiting ages while they look for the package. Sometimes the desk isn't even manned. Customers just seem to be a nuisance for them.

It is certainly a far cry from what happens when I send my mother gifts from M&S in the U.K.

Not only can I choose the date of delivery, but the time as well!

It’s high time a lot of these service companies were required to compensate customers for not meeting the standard that the customer was paying for. That includes late trains, post and courier services etc etc.

That the local lines company appear to only do repairs, and no preventative maintenance.

It's typically windy here in spring, and once again this year we're back to random power outages again, typically during windy days.

No power here this morning, although it has been turned on and off a couple of times in the last hour - for about five seconds and then off again.

No power yesterday for just over an hour around lunch time.

No power on Monday for a couple of hours mid-afternoon.

And it's school holidays.

Grrrr.

I'm annoyed on behalf of a friend. He had a deal from his ISP to get nine months of a streaming service for free. Three months later it tells him that his subscription has expired. The streaming service told him to take it up with the ISP, and the ISP says that it was always a three-month deal and that a nine-month deal never existed. This is despite the fact that the ISP is still advertising the nine-month deal on its site as we speak.
