kotuku4:
Smart meter needs to be read manually, more than six months now. Power company doesn't want to solve the issue.
Anyone else have this issue?
yep , im with Pulse and they send a meter reader every month to read my smart meter. 2 years.
Common sense is not as common as you think.
vexxxboy:hah sounds like me n the family this morning. go out at 9am and i'm wearing pants, singlet, thick polo shirt, heavy hoodie and a jacket. grey sky, some wind and somewhat cool. within half an hour into our walk the cloud has mostly burned off

Handle9:Changing the region in your Microsoft account doesn't actually change the region. Hey Microsoft, you know that people move countries right?
The poor CSR had no idea what was happening either. They were super helpful but aaaarrgh!!!

When someone places social media logos on their company vehicles or prominently displays them on their website. Don't they realise they're only advertising someone else's business and not their own?
Jucy rentals (used to?) say 'Google Jucy' on them. I don't think they actually had anything to do with Google!
@Geektastic: The fact that 3 days after dispatch, the NZ Post tracking site still says “No information available”.
What’s the point of paying for tracked shipping?
Same as sending something on Friday and paying for overnight service with Saturday delivery. More often than not it will be delivered Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning.

Fastway/Aramex 🙄
They leave a card to collect even though their website says they are doing contactless deliveries. Their website makes it hard to find their phone number - fortunately they're still using old Fastway cards with the number on it (0800 FASTWAY for anyone wondering).
The CSR arranges for redelivery tomorrow, says the package will be left at the door. He agreed that the package should have been left and doesn't know why it wasn't left. Maybe there is a gate, he suggests. No - there is no gate. Well, the courier just gave himself more work by not following the rules as he'll have to come back tomorrow.
Before someone suggests it - no, I'm not just going to go and pick it up from the depot. Besides being out of my way and besides the principle of the thing, they're pretty useless at the depot and keep you waiting ages while they look for the package. Sometimes the desk isn't even manned. Customers just seem to be a nuisance for them.

I'm annoyed on behalf of a friend. He had a deal from his ISP to get nine months of a streaming service for free. Three months later it tells him that his subscription has expired. The streaming service told him to take it up with the ISP, and the ISP says that it was always a three-month deal and that a nine-month deal never existed. This is despite the fact that the ISP is still advertising the nine-month deal on its site as we speak.
