Geektastic:
Coincidentally, they make fine firearms in Brno which you can use!
Indeed. I own a Model 2 in 22LR myself. Fine pest control tool.

Why, given L1 COVID at this moment, are couriers ignoring signature required stickers. Surely, it's reasonable to require a signature, or at least get a freaking name!
IME they are still just writing COVID instead of a signature (you can often seen the signature on the tracking site).

Yep, a lot of overseas drugs get delivered that way.
Also to other people's houses and then go through their mailbox.

This is getting more interesting.
When I checked the plate last week I clicked on "Restyle an existing plate" rather than "Create a new plate" because I assumed as it was a previously valid government plate that's all I needed to do. It was available, the price was $299 and so I added it to my cart with my wife's plate for the same price.
Speaking with a friend over the weekend he suggested it would need to be reissued because government plates go "dead" when replaced by personalised plates and I should check with Licensys.
So that's what I do and now the "restyle" option is no longer available and I have to "create".
This morning creating it as a normal plate was $499, but I've been emailing their support asking why it's so expensive and now it's $999 to be a normal plate.
Is it possible they are tracking how often I look at something and changing the prices ?

Had this problem a few weeks back when a package went missing - apparently the seller/store can pre-approve packages to be left without signing for them.

I recall when personalised plates were first introduced they were around $250 to initially purchase. Trading pushed the "value" of some plates up once they were in circulation.
But the price to buy new has slowly risen over the years to the current level which seems very high. I guess partly market demand, partly monopoly supplier who can and will charge whatever they feel the market will sustain.
The plates that most "annoy" me are the ones that duplicate the information the car manufacturer already placed on a badge on the rear of the car, usually quite close to the plate.
"IS 250" on a Lexus IS250 for example.
So, you've just spent an additional $1200 to add nothing to the car. At least come up with something punny. :-p
It's difficult to fit "over-priced Toyota" on a number plate!!

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.
Keep calm, and carry on posting.

ok Fireworks, but i would love to know how much my neighbour spent because they have been going for 2 hours straight with out a break. It would be quite impressive if it wasnt so annoying.
Common sense is not as common as you think.

Friend of mine said her neighbours set of fireworks for three hours straight a year or two back. And she has a dog who doesn't deal with fireworks well...
networkn: 3 hours! Most parties with loudish music are longer than that.
Thanks for reminding me why I live in the countryside...!

I'd love to buy a car that had a plate like that, no doubt the price won't include the plate. I'll say, that's cool, I don't want the plate, I'll supply new ones. Good luck selling the plate the minority of people that will buy it!
I'd buy the plate VTEC though. I knew the person who had it originally, no idea who has it now.
