Laggard users (jn a corporate environment) who steadfastly and stubbornly refuse to learn to use a new piece of technology, no matter how simple and intuitive it is, and with plenty of support and instructions, but instead insist on wanting  to stick with the legacy tech even though they've been told it is well out of support and will simply stop working in a month or two.

I am 90% converted to Whittakers now, but there are the occasional thing from Cadbury I might purchase depending.

There's nothing worthy from Cadbury. Whittakers all the way.

Whitakers and RJs cover my sugar fix.

To be fair though their hands are tied by what the vendor continues to support.

In another incident, as well as the larger things I'm also trying to sell a few smaller things than can easily be posted. For one thing worth about $30 someone asked me about delivery so I said I can post for an extra $5 to cover postage (it fits into a $7.20 post bag so not even the full postage). He then asked if I could instead deliver it to Paraparaumu (I live in Lower Hutt) for some "gas money." I'm not sure what he thought an appropriate amount of petrol money would be for making a 100km round trip, but would have thought just paying $5 for postage would be cheaper.

Further learning to this - always get tracked when you post things. Have managed to sell a few things online recently which I've posted and typically the only one I didn't get tracked is the one that the person is saying hasn't arrived and asking for a refund, and without tracking I can't find out what's happened to it. It was just before the postage all changed and I had inadvertently undercharged for postage so I got a $6 post bag and didn't pay extra for tracking (this bag has now changed to be $7.20 with tracking, the untracked version no longer exists). The person paid immediately so I have no reason to think they are a scammer, but it's a lesson learned to always get tracking.

Additionally, also a lesson learned to verify the address. The address the person gave me was 19b, and according to the NZ post address finder there is no 19b at that address, just 19, 1/19, 2/19, 3/19 etc. I did actually check when posting to make sure I had the correct spelling and postcode etc, but I perhaps foolishly assumed the person knew their own address so didn't query it. In hindsight, if the address on NZ post doesn't match what the person says, it probably pays to double check with them. I did put my return address on it so maybe there's a chance it gets returned to me if the address was wrong.

Finding a "thing" on Trademe (new in box) that I had my eye on for a while, at a substantial discount, but waiting too long to hit buy now.  Asked the trader to relist, but they took too long to relist so I bought it elsewhere at the next best price (but not as cheap as the Trademe listing).  Waking up this morning to find said trader just relisted at original price, days after the "thing" arrived.

Not talking hundreds of dollars here, so really is a "small" thing, but still annoying.  Grrr.

Getting up after a restless night's sleep to 18 emails from my boss - many of which were "please action this evening" (even though these emails were sent/received well after 9pm NZT.

Some people simply should not be managers...FWIW, I am also a manager, but this guy is a manager of managers...even worse. Did I mention he has zero people skills?

Regretfully, it seems that sociopaths are well suited to managerial positions, at least from the point of view of the sociopath's manager (who most likely is even more so).

Yeas. I'm afraid you're probably correct.

I'm more of an empath, which makes me a decent people leader, while being wholly unsuited to being a people leader.

I would add employment law that makes it so that they can get away with that behaviour.
