That is amusing and sad. That still really annoys me.

I remembered seeing it - and the other main connection between toilet paper and this thread also amuses me.

When a cafe asks whether you want your muffin heated, you say no, so they do it anyway.

The way they ask in the gulf is "Make it hot?"

It always amuses me.

When a cafe asks whether you want your baked item heated, period. If it's still warm out of the oven and fresh and crispy, fine. If it's cooled down hours ago I really don't want it made lukewarm and soggy, so don't even ask.

It doesn't annoy me any more... because I've stopped giving money to the brands doing it :D

Unfortunately there's only one brand I know of that makes TP that isn't the flimsiest tissue paper available and they've one of the gluers. None are as bad as the vellum they use in public toilets, but still...

And that's a bigger annoyance for me than the gluing. In Europe you get decent, solid TP. Haven't been to the US for so long I can't remember what their stuff is like any more, but over here you get the flimsiest tissue paper that'll still hold together in one piece so you need to use three times as much to make it do its job.

Bung: Redesigning a process to save gas would be something they could acknowledge. A leak is something that shouldn't have happened or existed for that length of time.

Thanks would have been a start....

This fault was found by someone who is not responsible for it in anyway and found in his non paid time and existing process didn't identify.

Reinforces the opinion that management really don't care....

Looks like the ASB has now also succumbed to the "UI refresh" brain rot. The account display has gone from the account names (e.g. "Business XYZ") to "Savings on Call", "Savings on Call", "Savings on Call", uhh, "Savings on Call", "Business Account", "Business Account", and "Business Account". The only thing I don't understand is why they didn't just name all of them "Bank Account", which would have been the final step in uselessness.

To quote Raymond Chen, "I'm sure someone got a nice bonus for doing that".

And the icing on the cake: Here's what you get when you try and leave them feedback to fix their site:

"The UI refresh has been a brilliant success, we've had no negative feedback about it".

Being bushwhacked by a key client - wanting a meeting about one subject, including the boss and then turning it into a different meeting and making it about another subject entirely, without the ability to prepare for the inevitable bleating...frustrating to say the least.

You must go to a weird cafe. I'm curious how they'd respond if you asked back to them if it's still a long black if it comes with milk. Also, do they then charge you extra as usually a long black is cheaper. Maybe they're upselling?
