Brainless Sanitarium commercials screeching about 20 per cent less sugar in some product. Less than what? A bag of sugar? They must really despise their customers.

Less than before, presumably.

Bit like "New and Improved". How can it be new and improved at the same time?

I long ago promised myself that if I ever see any product with old! unimproved! on the label, I will buy it regardless of what it is.

Maybe ‘old! unimproved!’ is the same as ‘original’? For example:

Molenberg Original Toast Bread

Vogel's Original Mixed Grain Toast Bread

Bluebird Originals Ready Salted Potato Chips

Mainland Salted Original Butter

Philadelphia Original Cream Cheese

There are dozens/hundreds of products claiming this.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

eracode: Bluebird Originals Ready Salted Potato Chips

Something I've often wondered: What makes them "ready" salted as opposed to just salted? It seems that different brands use the same terminology but I don't actually know what it means in this context.

If it means "pre-salted" or "ready-to-go salted" then wouldn't all the other flavours also be "ready"?

I thought Google's ad targeting algorithm was supposed to be really smart, but Youtube seems to keep thrusting Sanitarium ads at me despite the fact that I would never, ever buy one of their products. They are crooks as far as I'm concerned.

That I can help with.

Crisps used to come with the salt in a separate twist of paper. The customer added the salt. Ready salted was the evolution of that in which the separate salt was removed.

Is that because of their tax status, as a religious organisation?

Call-centre audio volume discrepancies between hold-music and actual dialogue.

Interesting! I don't believe I've ever seen that.

As a vegetarian I consume Sanitarium products. I don't like supporting their silly church but it is what it is.
