Does anyone have any good recommendations for a getting a made-to-measure in Wellington?  I can see a few via Google, but would like to know if anyone has some good (or bad!) experiences of such tailors.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I am more at the conservative end of the spectrum but will certainly consider them. And yes, I am expecting to part with a reasonable sum of money....but this will be a once-in-a-lifetime purchase.

I had a suit made at Europe Modes about 20 years ago, I still have it and the workmanship is superb. Back then it was very competitive even against the fly in and out of Wellington guys from Hong Kong.

Its a little out of date now, but then so am I.

Crane Brothers on Willis St have always been very good to me.

Yes, a couple of guys at work mentioned them as well.  Somehow I fancied a trip to Berhampore and hence went to Euromodes!  However if that doesn't work out, I'll give Crane Brothers a look.

Actually they are at 99-105 Customhouse Quay, but it runs straight off the end of Willis St (Lambton Quay) intersection.
