Is it possible to use Office 365 without using their email service? I have a client who is happy with Google Apps, but wants to use their suite of software.

I'm assuming I can point my client's domain at 365 and leave the MX records as is?

You'll have to jump through hoops to get Outlook 2013 working with Google Apps Sync.  It doesn't like Office click-to-run.

I did have a link to a web page with instructions on how to get it working, I'll try and find it if you wish.

Here is the link.

Yup, just don't use the email. $20 per month gives you software + one email user. Just use the made up Microsoft domain for credentials and dummy email address that you won't use :)
