I thought that wasn't such a bad deal.

I could see the same property in Mt Eden GZ zone might go for a similar amount -- in this case you are paying for the land so ignore what is built on the site.

Generally you can pay 1 million or more just for sections in central-ish Auckland now.

Here you go, this 140sqm (land, house is 70sqm) dump in milford isn't even central yet going for 640k. You could easily add another 400k for central auck.

Have a look at some of the squats that the state government are flogging off in Millers point...

The State Govt is selling a huge swath of public housing next to the Harbour Bridge, and promising to use the funds to build many more new units, the only problem is that the new places will likely be well out west....

yeah, that's about NZ$1,120,000 for 0.013 acres. That's a lot dearer than Auckland.

btw that is only just over 50 sqm. $22,400/sqm, that's not bad if you're selling!
