Last month I became a paid subscriber of geekzone. While I have been a free user for a couple of years I decided it was time to support the website financially.   Being a subscriber gives you a few benefits:

  • Advertising free option for browsing Geekzone;
  • Access to private forums;
  • Personal Tag under your name in the forums;
  • 250 MB of disk space for image storage (automatically resized for best use in our forums or on your Geekzone Blog);
  • Image gallery for use in your Geekzone Blog "Random Picture" feature; . Up to ten private forums, with invite-only access that you manage for each individual forum.

I don’t do it to remove the adds, I don’t do it to give me access to private forums, I do it because I use the website on a daily basis and I think I get enough value out of the content to validate $25 per year.

I think the mod’s do a great job of maintaining the website and I would like to thank them for hosting this web site so as a gift I ask the rest of the community to think about being a subscriber so we all feel like we are contributing to a successful community.   Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year :)

You can pay via Internet Banking if that suits you better! :-)

I'm not as active as I used to be (stupid work) but I'd be lost without my GZ subscription!

Did it a while ago.

I never saw the ads anyway (do people really still actually see ads on websites?!) but it's easily the best $25 a year I spend. (Don't tell the wife I said that...!)

Those are a lot of good reasons to pay the subscription to Geekzone. Have been thinking about this for a while as it is definitely one of the websites I visit every day usually on multiple occasions. Whilst not a prolific poster, I certainly enjoy reading the posts and information available. I too did not know that I could make a payment via internet banking. Will need to do so because I wholeheartley support this website and recommend it to everyone who I think would benefit from it :-). damn...too much home brew beer and cider tonight.....Maybe I should just stump up with the money before I sober up lol cool
