Ok, here is a Christmas wish that fits the season perfectly. According to the link below, people still have not got the message about using disabled parking spaces. At this time of year, I imagine the problem can only get worse, and the consequences for those who actually need those spaces, much worse.

I have zero tolerance for the selfish, self-centred, self-important, thoughtless donkey holes who think they are so much more entitled than anyone else and zip into these spaces without the slightest care. I detest people who do this and if any are on Geekzone (surely not?) then get over your useless self and do the same thing every other decent person has to. I have many faults but this is not one of them. I never use disabled parks. I understand why they are there and I respect them. I see many others who do not and I have to restrain myself not to bash in the sides of their bloody cars. This is one of the things that really makes me see red.

DO NOT USE DISABLED PARKS IF YOU ARE NOT DISABLED.  This does matter. It makes a real difference to the people you shove aside. Don't do it. I just wish the police would get serious about enforcing this. It is not a minor matter.

Completely agree. I've grown up with a disabled father, so we've always used disability parks. Just one thing to be aware of, an able bodied family member may nip back to the car briefly to grab something, please don't jump to conclusions and think they're parking illegally. By all means confront those parked illegally, but be careful not to berate an innocent family member or caregiver.

Not directed at you Rikkitic, just a message to all.

No worries there. It is easy to see if there is a permit on the windscreen. In that case I am happy to give the benefit of the doubt, but of course these should not be misused either.

Been putting up our Christmas lights around the garden this morning. My wife has to do the ladder stuff. I have to do the unraveling the birds nest of wires. All good fun and it will look great tonight.

Did that once and forgot the lights were there - so ran them over with the mower a few days later....

Looking forward to Christmas. 16 days annual leave and 4 stats equals 4 weeks off. MAGIC.

I'll be working the stats, among other cleaning duties I'll be scrubbing peoples left over Christmas & new years cheer off of toilet bowls - and hopefully only the toilet bowls.
