Chinese takeaways in AKL city?

Hey team - We're hungry tonight and craving Chinese takeaways - specifically sweet and sour pork and fried rice.

Unfortunately our usual place is about an hour away, so I need something in the central city... any recommendations?

AKL City is a big place.. which part?

Diamond Takeaways in Remuera, Bamboo Kitchen in Mt Eden or Meadowbank are the best IMHO. They have the same original owners and as a kid I went to Diamond Takeaways over 40 years ago. Norm's still running the show at the Meadowbank Bamboo Kitchen.

Thanks for the reply and suggestions - as mentioned Central city, so CBD. I'm located on Quay Street specifically.

Will take a look at those places, but would prefer something in walking distance if possible... although I don't like my chances!

There's a place on Elliott St called Dragon Boat which Google tells me offers takeaways, but I've only ever had a sit-down meal there. I'm certainly not an Auckland expert though!

You aren't going to find "Chinese takeways" in Auckland CBD. The CBD has primarily Asian residents who will want authentic cuisine rather than basterdized "takeaways". You have sooooooo many choice of amazing restaurants in the CBD. Just walk around and see what is busy.
