Just curious if any of you have done any of the Dale Carnegie courses.

I am 3/4 of the way through the 3 day Business Immersion course and so far found it to be fantastic. Have learnt a lot of new stuff and added a bunch of tools to my management arsenal.

Price is right up there though but there is a lot of support from the coaches out of the course as well.

Value for money ?? , Will have to wait and see I guess to a certain degree.

I like his book. What kind of things are you learning?

There is a lot of self confidence learning tools, different ways of engaging your staff.

A lot of memory learning techniques which believe me I needed and they really do work. A very immersive course where you are up in front of the group a lot putting what you are learning into practice. Really pushing your boundary's and putting you outside your comfort zone

There is a lot of communication techniques and how build a stack in your mind and to work through this to maximize your impact on other people.

Building and realizing your vision and how to achieve it.

I have. One thing I (and others) found was that some of the methods taught for negotiation were an abject fail at high level - as most of the people you'd deal with had done exactly the same courses. So it was back to being yourself - rather than attempt techniquey psychological manipulation and risk making an idiot of yourself.

Its very steep at 3k for the 3 day course I put myself and one of my managers through it.

You can view all their courses at book at their website.

The potentially life-changing influence of Dale Carnegie.

Great potential for turning psychopaths into more successful psychopaths.
