How good are Hell these days?
I cast my mind back to 2004. Double pizzas (Lust was always my favourite) cost $13. You could get two nights worth of dinner for around $30. The Flame Bread was awesome too - but they stopped selling it.

Last time I had Hell would have been sometime in 2016. It was still okay but over $40 (for two people) and barely lasted two days - hardly great value for money. Reason I ask is my boy has a voucher for a free HELLthy (333?) pizza. Are they any good? I looked at their menu and it doesn't seem like much on it has changed since 2012!

Are they still as good as they used to be, or have they had their day?

I would choose hell after almost any other option. Over hyped average at best pizza.

They are good, but cost is too much especially since there are so many alternatives, I find their "double" pizza to be a standard size IMO.

I like their pizzas better than Pizza Hutt or Dominos, the only others in our area. A double Hell costs about $20, one of them feeds two of us. If we get a pizza each and some of that nice deep fried cheese delivered it's something like $65. Bit pricey for fast food so we have them rarely.

Yes, that's what I thought. While never really "cheap" I reckon they used to be much better value for money (bang for your buck etc). These days, not nearly as much.

The trick with Hell is to get the Streched pizza.  Its an extra couple of bucks but the pizza almost doubles in size!

I never found them any better than others, and never knew why people made such a fuss about them. Wasn't a great fan of their marketing either, but that seems to have been toned back these days. I prefer the deep pan pizzas then the thin ones.

Still rubbish quality/size for the money. Better off finding a good local place that offers takeaway if you are willing to spend $20 a pizza

On reflection, I actually think that Sal's offers better value for money than Hell (even though Sal's is more expensive).

Marketing still there, Radio and Digital/Web....just not as much TV.

I find them the best of the 0800sendmepizza companies but I prefer home made pizza any day. Their snack size is useful for a small eater like myself.

Hell is the only pizza I ever eat from the major nationwide chains, however I have it rarely because of the price. Maybe two or three times a year.

Can't stand them.  Bring back Eagle Boys!

Interesting to read that most people find them a little bit 'average' and comparatively expensive....I agree. So many better options out there for the spend. If I wanted a purchased pizza, our local New World makes some (<$20) amazing ones that you just need to throw in the oven and would go for them time and time again over Hells.

They just don't seem to have moved with the times and evolved...but then again they are still around, so some people out there must still appreciate them for what they are, so maybe they don't need to....shrug

Damn I had forgotten about them. There was one just across the road from work, many a late night was interrupted by the inevitable Pizza run to Eagle Boys
