Ordered a HDD from Amazon US on a Monday, shipped on a Tuesday, arrived the next Monday - 7 Days. DHL stickered.

Ordered a Bluray from Amazon US about a week ago, it was a pre-order, sent this Tuesday as soon as it was available, arrived Today (Friday) - 4 Days. Brought by Fastway Couriers.

Both using the cheapest Amazon postage option. Awesome. Whats going on ? Hope it lasts !

The last item I bought from Amazon was shipped internationally with UPS but delivered by Fastway. From my experience UPS perform better than DHL with deliveries from the US which would make sense as I believe they have a larger/wider presence there, typically the reverse applies for China, etc.

I'm currently waiting on a USPS delivery that has spent 4 days in Auckland doing SFA as far as I can tell from the tracking...!

I ordered Essential phone on July 16, 2018, the item was damaged by DHL on the same day! Four days later Amazon created a new order. So, 11 days after it was ordered, it hasn't been shipped yet! Maybe next week...

At the start of July, I ordered an item from amazon.com.

My order status shows that it was shipped (from Germany) on the 11th of July.

Tracking shows that the tracking ID has not shown up anywhere.

There was a post some time back decribing how to track AWS and DPW tracking numbers here in NZ via NZ POST or Fastway.... can anyone remember how to do this?

In this case I suspect the Amazon was the front end but the item was supplied by a third party retailer - not marked as "Sold and shipped by Amazon".

We recently ordered some shoes, ordered on Sunday July 22nd with expected delivery date August 8. Arrived on Friday the 27th. I think said the package came from an Amazon sort facility in Greenlane and was delivered across town by Fastway. I had push notifications from the Amazon app when it was out for delivery and delivered. All pretty amazingly efficient.

I've been pretty impressed with Amazon delivery recently. I ordered all kinds of random things, took about 4 days to ship, but then arrived in 3-4 days instead of the forecasted 14 days.

Customs always slows things down , probably because it is a government department therefore inefficient (goes with being a monopoly).

Customs work load will vary, I find they usually take 1-4 days to clear depending on the shipping method you have used. And, customs freight don't seem to work weekends so add those days if your goods arrive on a friday.

Premium shipping services like DHL seem to get through customs more quickly.

Oh no! Annoying.

I had nz post damage an item (that was the status)... i told NZ post to send it anyway because amazon just shipped another one and told me to keep the damaged item.   I thought maybe i could repair the item or maybe the damage was minor.

The 'damaged' item turned up, and , it was not actually damaged. It was just gone. The package had been sliced open and contents stolen.

The NZ post employee put in a rude note about me wanting them to ship an empty package . ... however , i never knew it was empty, they hid the fact.

To be fair how did the employee know it was tampered with? Sure they might guess it but without proof perhaps it can only be referenced as "damaged goods"?
