Hi all,

Just wanted to mention that I-Store aren't that bad. I recieved some faulty and fake GHD's from them - only then did I notice this website and forums...grrr. So I sent plenty of emails saying I'd get my lawyer and the police involved (which I would have). After 5 days they have refunded my money and all is fine.
So, if you have any problems, Just keep at them I reckon. Apparently they weren't aware of theis straightners being faulty - but I can't be sure they weren't sure on their authenticity.
Really sorry to those of you who are having problems though. Just send calm emails and don't swear or threaten (too much).
Hope this is helpful and doesn't peeve anyone off.

The fact that they've deliberately made themselves difficult to contact and have no set phone/address is very suspicious. 
Also their prices seem well below the cheapest "cost price" on anything anywhere.
Not sure that they deserve anyone to be particularly understanding. People need to stand behind what they sell 100%.

I do agree that swearing+being rude seldom get anyone anywhere!

Good luck to everyone in getting their money back, I'm going to go legit.....seems wifey's new birthday-GHD's will cost me RRP!

I think that anyone/company that sends out faulty or fake goods IS that bad.  It's dishonest.

I was conned, I brought a GHD pure off www.1-store.co.nz, I asked so many questions before biting the bullet and buying it, making sure they were authentic. Recieved a week later,. drop shipped from china, declaration on the parcel said it was shoes. And it was the worst fake possible. Spelling mistakes on the actual ghd, the dvd was so scratched it wouldn't even work in the dvd player. I emailed them, and they said they would look into it and get back to me. They had on the website, money back gaurantee, so I sent them photos of everything so they coul see them selves and asked for my money back and an address to return the fake, no reply, now I see they have had there website suspended, so hopefully will stop anyone else being conned. When I researched i store, you will see the websites themselves were being sold to people, and people brought them, saw the returns they should have been getting but they never recieved any payments from them, so were ripped off there too. I would steer clear. Im holding out hope that I will get my money back, and some more research I did came up with an address and phone number, which I will be ringing if I don't get any reply to emails it is

What's happened is that there was a thread about buying 2.5G iPhones and in that thread I-store was mentioned because they were selling 16Gb iPhones (1st gen) for only $479.

What followed was a discussion about this webstore and claims that they were scamming people out of money.

They happen to sell GHD hair things as well as iPhones.

Has anyone had any luck contacting i-store in the last couple of days? I think they may have disappeared off the planet!  I'm kicking myself for paying them $200 for GHD's last week and have heard nothing since.   I see their site is disabled today.....not looking good.  I have phoned their contact numbers, both went to answering services immediately.  I have sent them 3 e-mails, no reply.  Any advice about where to from here from previous i-store customers?

No, I have not had any reply since last Friday, I have pleaded with them to return my money, but still waiting. I went to the commerce commision website, and made a complaint against them there, and emailed fair go, I tried ringing a number today, but it got cut off after a couple of rings. I was told to lay a complaint against them with the police for theft and fraud, as they took my money and was supposed to have given me a ghd, it was fake, and they have kept the money, so apparently they can be done for theft and fraud obviously due to selling fakes, but I don't know if they will do any good. I did the calculations as when I first saw the ghds on there site they had like 80 left, was down to 2 before they got shut down, thats over 18,000 they made selling fake ghds alone. I wonder how many people got suckered in with the rest of the items they were selling like i-phones and side kicks etc. AT least no one else can be ripped off like I was now thogh.

Cheers for that.  Will give them a couple more days to see if they make contact at all then will do the same with commerce commission and fair go, and police.   Let me know if you have any progress on a refund.  Laughing

They replied, but only to say they said they would sort it, and theythink it is unfair that I complained about the company to rip off reports! It is unfair that they sold me a fake, that they saidwas genuine, and still have not refunded me. This was the email.

I going to give them a few more days. Will update then, if anyone has any luck, could you please let me know. It really would be fantastic to just get our money back.
