While browsing CNN for political news, I ran into this depressing report. I was aware of the Queensland floods, but this must be absolutely heartbreaking for the farmers there. I have been having a discussion about some technical frustrations but this kind of thing puts it all into perspective. I would not want to be a farmer.

yeah. My half brother runs a sugar cane farm in Pinnacle, Nth QLD, its quite south of Townsville area, but too dry, then too wet. It gets saturated, finally dries down, so can be worked, then another big wet arrives.

 

We are pretty insulated, us non farmers in NZ, never too much of this or that
