Hi All,

Just looking at getting a trampoline for my kids.. really me.

I really can't justify the non-spring versions and they seem to be less bouncy. I've heard good things about Jumpflex, but has anyone got, or heard about Tradetested Superfly X trampolines? They are galvanised and have a reasonable weight capacity of 220kg vs 250kg of the Jumpflex, others sitting at 150kg etc.

Hoping people have some feeback!

Cheers.

I still have the octagonal Supertramp I purchased in the year 2000

On the 2nd matt, and has seen the kids through from toddlers to raucous teen parties

Expecting it to be around for Grand Kids too

we have a jumpflex at home, its pretty decent for the price.. I consider myself pretty handy and boy it still took a while to assemble..

They sell shade covers for them as well which are great idea but it only lasted 12 months before it deteriorated in the rain/wind/sun

We have a jumpflex, kids love it. My wife absolutely googled and read so many reviews and talked to other parents before pulling the trigger. It was Jumpflex VS springfree but the springfree was just stupidly priced.
We also bought the slide which the kids love.

Best part is the net has survived by 2 and 5yo absolutely launching themselves at it, we have no had any accidents whatsoever so I'm really confident in letting them play while I garden etc that they're not going to slip/fall off/through the padding/net.

One of the best things we bought.

My 2c though - make sure you centre the Jumpflex emblem before you start pulling the tramp into place. We put ours at a 90degree angle to the opening and had to redo it! Haha.

I was in a similar position to the OP a couple of years ago, looked at the savings that could be made going to TradeTested but couldn't find any worthwhile feedback on them, so went Jumpflex. Haven't regretted it!

Go for the biggest you can afford and/or fit on your section. Bigger is better! The only accessory I would recommend is the ground anchor kit.

We've had a Jumpflex for a 5+ years and recently had to replace the padded surround mat (was deteriorating from weather), jump mat (buckles to the springs were rusting) and net (was getting a few holes in it).  Not only were these parts readily available and at reasonable prices, the netting is an improved design to put less stress on the top of the poles, but it still worked with our model (just had to send a photo to the support team to confirm).

we have a big bounce 14ft tramp from no1 fitness. had it about 4 years now and its still going all good. We have had it with my wife, 2 kids (7 and 3) and i all on it at the same time and its been fine. i clean mine regularly by scrubbing the mat, and the padding around the outside. I also don't like the kids bouncing into the net, or running around the padding. I think this makes it last a lot longer, mind you the ladder has been in the same place and the padding there is still fine from everyone getting in and out all the time.

Im still able to get a good lot of bounce out of it and do flips no problems (im 115kgs)

just remember they can be bloody big and heavy depending on the size you get.

After months of trying to work out what to replace the kids tramp with we went with Jumpflex had free shipping and free xtra we went with the basketball hoop so far soo good. The trade tested one was 200 cheaper but jumplex was heavier weight limit which is better for us to get on the tramp with the kids

Had Jumpflex for 6 years and more than happy.
Takes a hammering, although 6 months ago I replaced the net (zipper broke) and the pad as it had deteriorated in the sun, both were sent for a little over $180 if I recall.
Weighs a ton as well so it would take a fairly hefty wind to lift it away.

Edited for price updated

Literally just went through the same process about 1 month ago. Ended up going for jumpflex as trade tested have been a bit iffy for larger 'no name' brands for me.

Got a trailer and tolerances were terrible so both ends got stuck.

Jumpflex got delivered in 2 days, and looks super sweet in 2 boxes on my garage floor. haven't even opened them yet :)

geekzen:

You've probably already made up your mind but just a heads up - Trampolines are not as safe as we have been led to believe.

Before buying a tramp do some research on their safety.

ACC pays out millions every year for a rising number of serious trampoline injuries including neck, head and back injuries.

Many paediatricians recommend keeping kids under 10 away from them completely.

Funny this thread came up -- we bought jumpflex 14ft tramp, maybe 3 years ago.

Just replaced the mat, safety net, and spring covers... cost around $240 or so.  It is better than new, as they've improved the mat and safety net design.

The old jumpflex mat was not the best quality -- the triangle spring clips would tear off.   The new mat is better, and the warranty is longer too.

UV radiation causes deterioration in the safety net , spring cover and jumping mat.

But , the great thing is that jumpflex is a local company and you can order any new part from them. So rather than having to buy an entire new tramp, we just replace parts as they wear out.

Definitely don't buy a cheap trampoline from the likes of kmart -- the springs and other parts will prematurely rust, they use inferior materials and design, and performance is not so great.  And, you cannot get parts.

Just finished setting up our jumpflex. Compared to the crappy one off trade me 5 years ago it's streets ahead.

Pretty easy to assemble, much easier with two people, and putting the top of the nets on is a bastard. only bolts are for the poles holding the nets up. Follow the instructions - there are a couple of slightly tricky.

One thing I did notice, I think they measure the jumping area (14ft is 14 feet of jumping area) whereas I think our old 14ft may have measured the outer ring. Check the actual dimensions is my recommendation.

A couple of nice things - the net is held to the triangles on the mat by little elastic straps. They hold on pretty tight. The pads have loops which some springs go through which hold them in place.

Over all recommended I think - after 2 hours use.

Thanks for the replies all!

How often do you find the Jumpflex goes on sale, ever? Or is it simply promotions for free delivery and extras they put on sale?

Cheers
