I saw them in Auckland back in the late 90s with Gary Cherone up front. Hell of a band, hell of a guitarist!

His music wasn't my cup of tea, but I acknowledge his talent and contribution and feel sad the world will not longer benefit from those attributes. RIP.

Not many could say they saw the Cherone-fronted version of the band, as he lasted such a short time. 

 

Not a lot of bands could have three distinctly different lead singers and still remain as popular as they did...
