Seeing as The Warehouse doesn't do DVDs in their shops any more, anyone know if they still do DVDs online ? I mean I can see them online, but is that because you can still buy them online or because they never got round to removing the pages.

They are still doing DVD's online and will be doing new releases and multi buys every now and then in store.

Best place to look is JB Hi-Fi, or their Australian version if you can’t find it in NZ

Why did they stop selling DVD's? Not enough demand? I know a few people who still buy them.

Been there, done that. Trying to find series 3 and 6 of Elementary and The Warehouse was easily the cheapest.

And they just won't make bluray versions apparently.

(Almost) everybody streams now I guess. I stream as well but still like 4K discs or blurays. DVDs only when desperate.

I would rather have a physical disk since the quality is better, assuming the title is available.

I typically watch one episode of a TV show each night before bed. A long-running show can take more than nine months to watch, making the Blu-rays cheaper than streaming.

As for The Warehouse, I no longer buy anything from there. JB Hifi seemed much more efficient at getting products to me, particularly pre-orders which seemed to take The Warehouse days to get out after the release date.

I go for whatever seems the cheapest, even if its from overseas. What can I say, it adds up.

You should try the original Law & Order - 456 episodes....

Buy from Trademe , or Amazon .
I still occasionally buy CD's , from Trademe . I cant be bothered driving to a shop for them .

Its all obslete tech, so no surprise if The Warehouse doesnt stock it. A bit like wanting VHS  :-)

Actually (slight diversion here) speaking of obsolete tech like VHS - anyone know of a good, inexpensive VHS conversion service? I'm looking to get rid of some old video cassettes and would like them digitised so I've got a copy of them forever :)

I'm sure there are, but you can buy pci-e cards to record vcr tapes. Except you'd need a vcr player as well. Maybe not the cheapest option, though admittedly this -

seems to be a somewhat atypical example 😀

Haha they gotta be joking.

I've got similar unit with DVD record option collecting dust in my wardrobe.

Have used it to convert VHS to DVD.
