Just looking ahead a year or two at the moment and trying to work out what different options there are and it got me wondering about a couple of things but particularly around academic streaming of kids.

Does anyone have or recently had kids going through high school in the Wellington area and if there are any that still stream kids?

Funny yes, we are sending m12 to Rongotai next year.

They do an entry exam and stream (I think two classes). Seems pretty good (much better than mine was anyway). The head is ex-Auckland Grammar and it all seems to be pretty grounded in the community. When we went for an interview they said enrolments were up already on last/this year.

Thanks Jon,

It seems as though the few I've heard about that still stream only stream one or two classes. We've got another year to figure out the best options for us thankfully. Always interesting to talk to local parents who have kids within certain schools and their feedback.
