Hi.

Has anyone purchased a notebook from Lenovo's NZ website where the eta has been far off into the future (6-7 weeks) and if so, when did your device arrive?

I am just trying to work out how accurate an ETA of nearly 2 months away is.

Cheers

I purchased one for my partner's study. ETA given was 2 weeks, but ended up taking nearly 10 weeks.

The delivery estimate kept changing during the wait so I found it to be wildly inaccurate.

We have had good and bad buying direct.

Placed an order for 10 ThinkPad's with 6 week eta, arrived within 2 weeks.

Placed an order for a docking station with 4 week eta, took so long to arrive, almost forgot about it, like 6 month wait.

Yeah. Docking stations are a particularly painful IT product to procure right now.

Purchased a 40AF0135AU HYBRID Universal USB-C docking station direct from Lenovo a couple of months ago and there were no delays. It depends on what you're ordering.

We've bought most of our work machines direct from Lenovo.  For laptops themselves, things are pretty accurate from memory, apart from 1 order which took 12w (ETA was 6w).

For non customised stuff, they seem to come pretty quick.

Sounds about right, they ship the item from Singapore or somewhere like that, with incredibly slow dispatch and shipping. You can get decent prices, but be prepared for a long wait.

Also if it's an X1 and you've got an older one you may want to think twice about upgrading, quality has gone downhill badly in the last few years.

Yeah, this device is CTO. Shame I was hoping I might get it a bit faster. CTO stuff from HP has been arriving on average in less than half the ETA for a few months now.

I did last year, I had some issues but I would buy again from them

They managed to somehow submit my address to DHL as Auckland not Dunedin (Lenovo shipping confirmation email was correct but address supplied to DHL was wrong)

They also mid shipment requested the laptop shipment to be stopped for a week for no reason

Both issues were solved by DHL who were great to deal with

Bought Legion 7 laptop last Sept last year. ETA said 8 weeks but got it about 5-6 weeks. Delivery was by DHL which was pretty quick.

Like someone else mentioned quicker in stock items v customised.
