I received a phone call the other day from "09 961 0882". It was a bot which said:

Hello, you have an important document that has not been signed for. Please contact the staff immediately. If you need to inquire, please press 6 for English service and 7 for Chinese service.

Then said presumably the same presumably in Chinese.

Is that some sort of a scam? What is the modus operandi?

Scam. You contact them, they will ask for payment, etc.

If you are called or sent an email for a document you know nothing about, assume it's a scam.
