Last i checked, VF are dhcp.

You're right. My parents invited me for dinner tonight and I thought "I must check their Vodafone UFB settings." It is indeed DHCP. The Vodafone-supplied router also has its Wi-Fi locale set to DE (presumably Germany)...

Can't edit first post on my phone so I'll sort that out when home.

If you wanted to include if username / password is required or port based so any value is fine.
I know Spark don't care what you put in as long as it's something.

I'm going to say "no" to that at this stage so that the list remains compact and easy to maintain. For an equipment compatibility guide you don't need to know whether the authentication is port based; any equipment that supports one method will also support the other.

For some ISPs such as Orcon, setting up tagged/DHCP is not enough, correct configuration must be pushed out to the modem. Might warrant a footnote for these cases.

This is a UFB thread so if something listed is indeed VDSL-only then I'd like to remove it.

With that said, the "Advanced Configuration for Orcon" thread specifically says UFB.

Seems useful.
Would want to view in the future.

It might be also be handy to have a short description and the pros/cons of each of the three items. Why would you pick one over another
I do have some idea but a quick cheat-sheet would be great.

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

Sounds like a plan. I'm not too sure of the differences between PPPoE and DHCP myself, but I'll add something about tagged/untagged and ONT/RGW when I get some time.

... cause I've had three different Mikrotik units with the factory default MAC address on the WAN port, and no problems connecting them to my Orcon fibre connection.

It's not entirely clear - is the reference to that thread for the fact that you need to extract the password for voip or the claim that the MAC address must be specified?
