michaelmurfy: Sounds like you're needing a WISP to compliment the connection - and since you're running PFSense you know all about WAN Aggregation so why have you not ordered a wireless solution and why is this thread still going on?

Also not real evidence of your speeds still Tim considering you were not really putting your line to the test as a YouTube video at that size doesn't even peak my 100mbit UFB connection above 1.2mbit:

OT but what is this program you are using?

quickymart: Tim (from Outram) seems to have gone silent. Tim - I know you're busy but I thought there would have been some progress by now.

It was moving day for Tim, to a new house just 'round the corner with zero vodafone reception. Handy.

well! guess RBI isnt an option there!

Based on that you seem pretty easily amused it would seem.

Tim hasn't worked for VF for a while.

Forgive me for not spending my free time following the life of someone whose enduring impression for many some users on here was an overwhelming number of embarrassing posts whilst being clearly identified as a corporate employee of a supposedly respectable entity. Anyhow, perhaps this thread can get back on track.

I don't imagine anyone expects you to track some ones life, but if you are going to make trolling type inferences about his place of employment the very least it would be reasonable to do is make sure your facts are straight.

Plus I don't know what your definition of "many" is, but you are the only one speaking, so perhaps just speak for yourself.

I really would have expected better of a lawyer. Just saying....

Lol... being off topic is the least of this threads problems.

That's Winbox . The application used to work on a Mikrotik Routerboard.

:( I thought it was just a Windows or Linux program

I for one know for a fact that a sizable number of users have raised issues with that guy's posts and I've even had PMs to me in support when I publically questioned his trolling. Even more laughable is your belief that somehow his having left VF had anything to do with my post: the fact that he frequently trolled the forums, to the extent that he was known to have been banned from posting in other ISPs' help forums on here, actually backs up my point that he created a rather poor and enduring impression of himself, especially when his trolls were often done when he represented himself as a corporate employee.

In any event, this thing has truly been dragged enough off-topic. You can enjoy your little pseudo fight on behalf of some fool who got himself banned from here. My care factor is a big fat zero.

You seem to forget that he also helped a hell of a lot of people on here too when they were having issues with Vodafone.

Don't waste your time, he has a had a grudge against Tim for ages. If you disagree with him he'll just try and bully you like he just has with networkn, although it is quite funny that every post now ends with I don't care when he clearly does.

^ this - if you "don't care" then why say something?

Off-topic (sorry, I know)...why does he have a grudge with him? Did Tim refuse to help him or something?

I really didn't want to return to this nonsense but don't feel like I have an option. Here in the real world, most people don't take kindly to unjustified accusations being made against them, which is exactly what your reply is. If you don't know the facts, feel free to take your own advice and shut it. Moreover, you want to discuss me as a person, feel free to take this to PM and stop spamming. And no I've never and never will ask someone who basically refuses to abide by basic rules of civility for help, so please stop insinuating that I dislike TimA's posts because I didn't get what I want out of him.

I don't dislike TimA as a person -- but I have no time of the day for his trolling, lack of courtesy, and inability to abide by the T & C of the site and publically stood up to him on a few occasions, including when his trolling eventually shut down a user's thread on the VF sub-forum. Looks like a mod/forum owner also agrees with me re: his inability to abide by rules. But if you must insist that I am somehow sui generis in this regard, really I can't do anything about that opinion. A few of you seem to be very quick to throw labels like "bully", "grudge" and whatever else at someone for merely having no time of the day for somebody or even insinuate motives when you have no way of knowing such alleged motives. Perhaps you, Handle9, and networkn could do with a look in the mirror?

I never accused you of anything. I merely asked why you had a grudge with him, going on the earlier posts. Please don't jump to conclusions - I asked why do you have an issue with him? That's all.

Back on Topic Please - There have been recent improvements around the Outram area and I have asked Timbo to run some tests over a 7 day period and report back to me.

But given everything going on for him, that may not be for a while.

Wow.

Calm down folks. Back on topic (which I think will be hard for a 37 page thread) or we can just lock this drag down.

Sorry freitasm.
I think we should keep it open for the moment, as I (for one) would like to know how Tim's plight to get broadband in Outram is progressing.
