Then I'm confused. Why all the moaning about being in a BoF area if you have shared copper services already and are perfectly happy.

I'm locked into contract with Xnet until later this year with this BOF stuff (unless I wanna pay a break fee), but at this point, the other ISPs' UFB offerings aren't that much better.
If we prod Maverick again.. he may be able to confirm.
But from reading the new plan release thread I got the idea you can switch to one of those new ones with the same priceband (IE more features or data) and live out the rest of your contact still on that.
Maverick?
absolutely the call center have also tried to call all BOF customers to advise and I believe emails were sent as well

I am not happy with my current dial-up speed fibre. And I can't change it to another plan because I can't control my family Internet usage.

$70 for a Mikrotik router and 15 minutes to configure a hotspot with individual logins for each family member with a monthly quota would easily fix that.

Thanks for that! Never thought in this way. I'll do it when I'll change Xnet to another provider.

Great news! Hope the promo last's till the end of April new house will be ready then!
Which subdivision are you moving to? Are you certain it's BOF and not UFB already? I know of at least one subdivision where the more recent stages skipped BOF and went straight to UFB.
