Behodar: Apparently I never posted that today's my install date. So here I am, impatiently waiting for them to turn up :P
HTPC / Home automation (home assistant) enthusiast.
wasabi2k: Good Luck - if they are an hour late ring up the installer

I haven't been given a time (just "PM") so I don't know when an hour late is :)
Further complicating things, my voicemail "skipped" during recording so the number I have is something like "0800 7[skip]16". Fortunately I do have a service order number so I could probably track someone down if I had to, but at the moment I'll just wait until "PM" :)
Behodar: I'm confused. The fibre is buried next to the road, on the council reserve. Apparently they can't dig the trench today because they need council permission to dig up the reserve... yet surely every install would require some digging to get down to the fibre in the first place. Indeed they already dug as far as the "drop" before the topic of permission even came up. Does anyone know what the rules are around this?
