Got the Chorus letter today - UFB is coming to our street.

Stoked as we were originally by Jun-16, then Apr-15, now install is started.

I'm assuming it's roughly a 2-3 month process to get the street done?

I'm in Massey, West Auckland.

Looking forward to 100/30 or better.

I'm in the royal heights/moire road area - chorus map has my street in bright blue (not pale blue) - blocks that run along the motorway.

You are lucky! Our dates keep getting pushed back.

May 14-May 15
Then May 15-May 16
Now June 16

Common chorus! I'd give you a bottle of wine!

Back in March...
Telecom just let me know that UFB is moving into my street, and is "being laid by Chorus right now".  Nothing has happened since.  This was in the form of a flyer in the shape of a street sign, with our street name on it, so it was definitely targeted.

If anyone has or gets UFB and has line of sight to the red secondhand furniture place on Triangle Road in Massey, this would be of interest to me.

That's the one.  Next to Western Lights.

Got my second letter - starting work today (14th August) Finishing by October 14.

I will ring Telecom/Spark tonight and see if there is any way to get lined up for a quick install.

Please let us know how you get on regarding getting lined up. I'm in Hillcrest (Akl North Shore) and got a similar letter from Chorus last week.

Once they have finished the physical work, there is still another at least couple of weeks to provision the actual fibre from the local distributor to the individual drop points,

Once that is done they will allow ISPs to start signing up customers, then you have to go through the scoping and provision of fibre from the drop point to your house.

If you are lucky, you might have a live active conenction by the end of the year,  the final install to your house will take longer to happen than you think/want

Ordered fibre from Telecom (in Chorus UFB area - North Shore) exactly a month ago and the guys are on our drive digging today.  In a cross-lease section so one month is pretty quick for this scenario, if you are on your own section with no ROW consent issues then was informed can currently expect the digging team in about one week after ordering, once it becomes available for your address.
