Trust Power sent through an appealing offer to change power companies, and broadband etc; 250gb for $90 is pretty damn good. I'm currently with Telecom, and been happy with them. But I wonder if anyone here is on Trust Power and how they find it?

I searched through previous threads and it looked like Trust Power used to resell Maxnet Broadband but that was awhile ago so I'm not sure if that's still the case.

check that this is either naked or includes a voice line.

If it requires a separate landline (which some of the smaller broadband-only ISPs do) then add on another 50 bucks.

I'm interested too as it also offers UFB for the same price!

As the OP pointed out, discounted Trustpower internet pricing only counts if you've got power with them.

And this is where Trustpower are winning - in our household we saved nearly $1000 / year by switching to another provider (we were on the "Controlled - Friends" plan).

Minus the annual TECT cheque from that saving and we're still saving hundreds of $ / year by switching.

Suggest running your bill through the http://powerswitch.org.nz savings calculator.

I use Trustpower, for both home power, phone, internet ( fiber ) and my office fiber.
I am pretty happy with the service and have used them for a few years now ( for DSL ) and we have used them for power for years.

Speeds are great to NZ servers and decent world wide ( as much as can be expected with NZ pipes ).
They don't use Maxnet any more either.

The bundle discount, then as we have used them for a while we get a 'friends gold' extra discount.

The TECT cheque every year is pretty decent too :)

I have had both Trustpower Adsl and now fibre. The service is great and the help desk doesn't treat you like an idiot. Speeds very consistent

Very good to know!

I'll run our power bill through the site there too :)

From TrustPower's website it looks like they manage speed on their unlimited plan, and sometimes on their capped plans in times of congestion but not as often.

I don't trust powerswitch, I think the only way it works is if you put a whole years worth of usage and pricing into it and work it out that way, I did it with a few different people and you get remarkable results (Going just off the last bill doesn't give a full picture and I'll admit I work for a power company bold for justice.

The Powerswitch indication I got has turned out to be pretty accurate.

Our monthly bill is wildly different to what it was with TP - didn't feel bad missing out on the TECT cheque this year either.
