Their support is Mon - Fri only and here I am on a weekend unable to play World of Tanks! Amazon won't load either.

Are any other Fyx customers having this problem, or is it just me?

Why would it be some overseas websites but not others?

I've just emailed their upstream provider for whom I'm a customer about it too

*edit* Called them, they already knew about it and were working on it

No surprise really as they too use Vocus for international transit

I wonder if they're reversing the apparent "all international traffic should route though Australia" decision. tongue-out

May as well, ruined my F1 qualifying stream, cut out just before the end of P1 and resumed just as they were announcing who had taken poll, 2nd and 3rd. Right up there with radio DJs who start their news segments with sports news, "Lewis Hamilton wins the ... "

Not really... some routes still seem wonky: 30-40ms more than last week, return hops sometimes labelled Sydney.

*edit* Called them, they already knew about it and were working on it

Aren't they a sub brand of vocus anyway?

Yeah kind of, FYX is more of a sub brand of Maxnet though who is wholly owned by Vocus. Fyx hangs off the Maxnet network which just underwent a massive upgrade before it was taken over, and it was over engineered so it's solid. But they are effectively a customer of Vocus just like SS, Flip, etc etc. Semantics, but there are two different networks interacting, even if they are only 5 meters apart.

Sounds like a confusing ownership structure. But at the end of the day it sounds like Vocus owns FYX, if it owns Maxnet, and Maxnet owns FYX. Even the Maxnet website says it is now owned by Vocus on the top banner.
