I have been told that chorus will check my vdsl connection tomorrow on Saturday afternoon? Do they really work on Saturday?

Fault service staff (Contract feild techs - well my team anyway) work on a 10/12hr day 7 days a week roster + 24hr a day Emergency and support call outs

have had them work Friday Saturday and Sunday on a fault outside my place

Ok Thanks. I better cancel all my plan and wait for them tomorrow. If they don't come I'll get very very disappointed.

My UFB install was done on a Saturday.

In fact I was out there this morning working on an UFB fault (actual a porting of a pots line issue)

Chorus did fix my issue today.

Unfortunately I still have no Internet access because 'Radius' doesn't work on the weekend.

I've had installs and repair work done on the weekends on many occasions for customers and myself. It does come down to the contractor, the amount of work on their plates or how motivated they are.

Times I have been serviced in the weekends I've always made a big deal about thanking them for going above and beyond and often supplied a 6 pack of beer or a bottle of wine or a box of chocolates (In fact I keep a small supply of things like this for such occasions).
