As a general rule-of-thumb wireless internet solutions are not all that good for gaming, although it is slightly dependant on the type of game you play online.

Anyone that uses compass wireless care to comment on the latency ?

Latency on Compass Wireless is very good. Great for VOIP anyway. If you give me some server addresses I can post some ping times for you (I am in Pukekohe).

Cheers,
Matt.

Hey Matt awesome thanks for that, also how would you rate their overall service like the billing and that kind of thing as I have seen some post on here rubbishing them about that?
Thanks
Luke

I had a billing issue with them in August last year which was a result of a change to a new billing system. It took three months and numerous phone calls to get it sorted. I kept a record of all my phone conversations and then eventually fired off an email which got it sorted. Other than the billing has been OK.
The big frustation for me is when our internet connection goes down, so does our VOIP line. We can't call their 0800 number from a mobile and thier callback system doesn't seem to work.
Otherwise the broadband service seems to be consistant with few outages.
Cheers,
Matt.
