I was just wondering if there is a way to find out where future cabinets are going to be installed. The one that interests me is MSY/AK

I don't think the "exact addresses" are published publicly anywhere.

You can generally assume you'll be within 1-2km of either the cabinet or the exchange and should be able to get a sync speed over 10Mbit.

I have a database of all the cabinet locations from Chorus, PM me your address and I'll give you the location.

This spreadsheet doesn't include physical location details but may contain some partially useful information. Don't trust the dates though, as there's been a cabinet outside my work for a few months now despite the spreadsheet saying that it's not due until 2011.

I saw a map some time ago with my street's physical cabinet location shown. I'll post back here if I can find it again.

Yeah, I am in Ranui and currently on the Massey exchange, and there has been a HUGE amount of work in the area with roadside cabinets, and fibre running up Swanson Road (towards Swanson and I guess towards Henderson as well).  The cabinets closest to me are all complete however as I understand it each ISP (Vodafone in my case) have to provision customers somehow in their system to enable them to benefit from the cabinet, anyone know these details?

That shows the "cabinet area", but not the actual location of the cabinet. I know that I've seen the actual locations somewhere as I know that there's one going in (or already gone in?) at the other end of my street, but I can't figure out where I got that information from.

I've had a lot of interest from people PM'ng me their home address for cabinets.  I can only provide the cabinet/exchange ID, I'm still waiting for Chorus to release the addresses of the exchanges and cabinets (if they ever do).

I am thinking of releasing an online tool that will automate this, would anybody use it?  Post here so I can gauge interest.
