Yep, and I can use that to power the ultrawide too as the Surface Dock connector works on both devices.

I swapped to an 34" ultrawide from the 2x 23" monitors and it's so much better!

That is a really neat and tidy setup. Which model curved monitor?

It's a Titan Army 34" QLED.  It was $900ish when I got it, then PB Tech put it on sale less than 24hrs later so I got in touch and they refunded the difference above the sale price.

I purchased one of these just prior to Aucklands current level 3 restrictions, and am I glad I did! I was running 2x 25" monitors during the previous work from home period, and this 34" ultrawide just makes life so much easier!

I wish that Apple would allow the ability to run an external monitor as an extension of an iPad instead of simply mirroring.

Would make a basic office setup so simple. Much like this is.

Genuine question here, but can someone help me understand how one 34" ultrawide is nicer/easier more efficient than 2 x 24" (or 25") traditional monitors. Aren't you giving up some screen real estate by moving to a single 34" ultrawide?

Genuinely trying to understand as I may need to pull the trigger on a home set-up shortly. I'm leaning towards an ultrawide for simplicity but concerned that I will be compromising on my set-up in the office.

its likely 3440x1440 pixels vs 1920x1080 each for the 2 24in ones, so about 15% more pixels

Yip, and also no bezel in the middle of the screen and snapping feels easier too.

I'm scared off by the curved screen, surely flat screens are better for productivity?

Personal preference, but the idea behind curve is your head looks left to right on an arc, and the screen is designed to match the arc, so wherever you turn your head to look at the screen will then appear directly in front of your eyes.  That said, I often only move my eyes not my head :)

The curve doesn’t worry me. My current dual monitors are angled in slightly to mimic this.

I understand the extra pixels but I’m more concerned with the loss of square inches. At my age I need bigger type fonts.

In my opinion, two thin bezel 27" 1440P Monitors is the best combination.

Honestly it depends on the price you'll be spending and will you be using the set up for anything else. Our 29 inch 1080 ultra wide is good but for work I've paired it with a second 24 inch screen. For games the width over a normal 16:9 monitor is nice to have but for productivity on one big screen a lot of the docking Windows in windows is a lot clunkier than on 2 screens. You'll probably find less issues than I have if you ramp up to a 1440p ultra wide and get that extra screen space.

Don't get me wrong work wise I do like the ultra wide, I use a lot of tables on a few programs and that 30% extra space on the primary display really helps in those use cases where a bezel causes problems. If I had to choose for work purposes only I'd still go 2 screens over an ultra wide, but the pairing I've now got offers the best of both for me, I just value the width and 2 monitors offers more width than the ultra wide.

Also worth knowing that curved screens aren't meant to be great for design work like Photoshop or cad, I've not tried it myself but I saw a lot of comments saying the curve throws off the straight lines making it difficult to design accurately.
