So, Bitwarden.

Am wondering, after the recent LastPass thing, would there be any difference between redoing passwords from scratch in Bitwarden vs just importing passwords from LastPass into Bitwarden and then redoing the imported passwords in Bitwarden ?

Edit - or put another way, are both methods (pretty much) equally secure ?

I suggest you change at least you're most critical passwords. If your last pass vault is decrypted in the future you could be compromised.

I imported from last pass to bitwarden, then created new folders in bitwarden and moved the logins to the new folders when I changed the password - makes it easy to keep track of which ones had been updated with out using last pass

At the moment I can't find a way to export the stupid stuff anyway. I tell it to Expert, I give it my Master Password and bugger all happens. If it does create a csv I've no idea where.

...and that seems to have worked. Excellent. Now for the actual updating bit...

I have recently moved five accounts (Family sub) from LastPass to Bitwarden.

Migrating from LastPass as we speak. My LP master password was pretty good so I hope my stuff is safe for a day or 2.

I have created a BW account, exported from LP (though I cant see where to export form fills), imported to BW, and installed the chrome extension.

How do I extricate myself from LP at this point?

And also, I'm looking at the imported entries in BW, and cant see how to view or edit them.

Thanks, but I was thinking more along the lines of, delete account then uninstall extensions, or the other way around, or it doesnt matter?

Actually, I would recommend you delete all entries, wait for the Bin to empty, then wait for a "backup cycle" or two & only then delete your account. That way, if the account is ever "restored" / "recovered", only an empty account is recovered.
