In Windows 7, if I have two active network connections both with internet access, what network connection would be used for internet access?

Do they both get used together thus increasing the overall speed or does it default to one or the other?

Check what your default route is set to.

How?

Both connections are sending and receiving data.

Open up a command prompt, and type "route print"

Look for something like this

Network Destination Netmask Gateway Interface Metric
0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 192.168.1.1 192.168.1.100 10

the 0.0.0.0 route is your default route.
