freitasm: Are you running this with NO apps at all, just the phone after a reset?

yesterday I reset phone using key combination, some users reported that making a big difference, I installed rowi & updated Facebook both of which werent running in background last night (notifications off as well) and also the battery app because I wanted hard proof my mind wasn't tricking me lol

Even though those weren't running, if you have any account in your Accounts settings those will be polling, you know that?

Also disable push notifications in both Rowi and Facebook while testing.

You should wait around five days to make sure the battery is settled. I can go almost a day and half if I don't use the phone - with Rowi push notifications on, Location update on and WiFi on.

^ekud, that battery graph is horrible! Is that mostly idling or you on your phone all the time?

let's trial this:

Test 1
1. Hard reset your phone via Settings - About
2. Set your regular email account and NOTHING else
3. Watch for your battery usage

Test 2
1. Go to Settings and activate battery saver to ON
2. Go to advanced and set to ' Always'
3. Post your graph usage

Try step 2 first (make sure the battery is fully charged)

this was last night on standby, didn't get any txts and email sync was off, will try that test out and post results tomorrow.

returning phone tomorrow will be fun, yay for Xmas eve

I guess just do Test 2 - battery saver ON (advanced - always).

Basically in this mode, all connections are disabled and there will be no apps running in the background when idling. Any apps that you launch, including internet explorer will work fine - so you can still use your phone during this 'test'.

Run the thing completley flat a couple of times. That helps it. I get around 40+ hours from a charge on my 920. Thats with facebook, 2 emails being pushed through a weather app and lock screen changer running.

over the past week its ran itself flat a few times, my 4s wouldn't lose more than 10% overnight and that's with push and background apps running. Its fair to say my venture in windows phone has been nothing more than a nightmare. Will exchange handset one more time (because I really like it, obvious complaints aside)

I lose not more than 2% overnight from 11pm - 5am

I did read somewhere that letting the batteries run flat can do more harm than good.

Edit: my phone took 2hours to charge from 1% to 100%. Using wireless charger it took 3 hours from 30% to 100%

Modern batteries need use. Running flat isn't good for them actually.

really? This takes at least 4!!

had to leave house, will charge up and run down over night

re: battery running flat been bad - yeah I know unfortunately my lumias haven't allowed me much of a choice lol

The lumia is back in the box, and ready to go back from 1230 last night (fully charged) it dropped down to 20% overnight, this was in battery saver mode and all battery saving settings :-/
