You might consider stopping "Run the MAP" from running in the background. Anything that uses the GPS tends to eat through battery very quickly...
DuncanMcC: I have noted the GPS icon goes on when doing lots of things on the phone, but consider that normal - just testing now, and indeed if I go into "Me" the GPS icon goes on (Run the Map blocked), so it's not RTM doing that.
Cheers, Duncan.

freitasm: Yes, but we don't have new ones. We have old one. This means we have to wait. Again.

Right, this hasn't rolled out OTA anywhere, so everyone is "waiting"
it's just on some new devices that are rolling off the manufacturing line
Seems like a minor update, do you actually have any of the symptoms this update improves? I know that I don't

if you don't want the carrier to control when you receive the update, flash an unbranded open market Lumia ROM on your phone

Can honestly say i've had no issues with my Lumia. I'm actually pleasantly surprised after all the issues people have had in this thread.
