Yes you may do, if pinged by NZ customs. 299 does NOT include gst.

If true then $345 for the 16GB is pretty steep. They better have a very sharp wholesale price.

Yes I paid $299, ah well you only live once. Still not being shipped until the 1st anyway. Apparently Noel leeming are sending their accessories back? Just went to check out their pricing.

Yep i would be happy with around 200(including gst) will have to think hard if it gets over 250.

I think 250 is a fair price for a product no longer supported.
Its not like HP will release updates to fix anything wrong with it.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

for the spec its well worth 299, just the 139 got into our heads thats why no one is prepare to pay double that, for 1.2 dual core 1gb ram, its a bargin at 299..

and i just saw you can install ubuntu onto it, and android is coming, there is little potential on the device, who knows when windows 8 comes out, you maybe able to install that on it, and the hardware will handle it well too....

Considering the device has been EOLed by the manufacturer, I think this drops its worth considerably. These devices live or die by their supporting ecosystems. If the TouchPad is not going to be supported with a healthy influx of OS updates and available apps, its worth is not as simple as looking at its on paper specs.

HP have said numerous Times this week, that just the device has been ended they are goin to continue supporting and developing the software.

And today they have just allowed NZ and Aus access to by paid apps from the app store

I thought you could write WebOS apps and then easily port them to other platforms

I've still not heard back from Mobicity. I'll post a status update as soon as I have news to report.
