Did you follow a guide like this one and adjust the ROM version to match the one your phone needs:

I had both the spinning cogs and the Nokia logo at different times during all the attempts to reset my phone after it bricked during a hard reset. Depending on how and when I pushed the buttons, one or the other would result. I forget exactly how though.

In any case, once I decided to flash with the Nokia tools, it worked perfectly, pretty much as the guy describes in the description below the video.

I'm a bit mad that Nokia has cut off access to Navifirm though. Going to be even madder if the phone bricks again on the next update or reset and I have to send away!

Did anyone noticed that since updating to the latest 1308 firmware the Internet Sharing is not working on Telecom New Zealand?

Mine wasn't broadcasting a visible SSID.

I just set it to the same details as my home connection, and my laptop picked it up.

I am on Vodafone and it seems to be fine with that. Tried a telecom sim and it didn't work.

The SSID broadcasts just fine. I can join. The Windows 8 laptop (HP Folio) shows "Connected" and the Lumia shows guests connected... but no data traffic.

It sure worked before.

Tried changing the password, SSID, switched APNs, restarted phone. Nope, not working.

I think it's Windows 8 on the laptop as other terminals accessing the Lumia 920 Internet Sharing connect fine and have full access.

its not possible to have a non-broadcast SSID on Windows Phone, any ideas how you managed to do that?

Confirming that I'm on Vodafone and one the 1308 Telecom rom and sharing works fine.

Win8 makes it hard to find and edit faulty wireless connections. I was messing with that this morning and found some netsh wlan commands at Microsoft that let you list and change/delete them. Look them up if necessary.

Decided to sell my Lumia 920 since I am moving away from Windows Phone after years (using Windows mobile devices since 2002)... Started a Factory Reset from the settings menu and the handset is stuck in the cog wheels, even though Portico and all other updates are applied.

Tried Volume Down Power three time and always goes back to the cog wheels.

Not happy. Sold the unit and wanted to reset to send away. Obviously there's something really bad with this. I am actually pretty happy of leaving this ecosystem now. It seems Microsoft doesn't want feedback and is just being arrogant in somethings around.

Shame the last sight I have of this beautiful handset (the hardware is beautiful) is a failure.

What trouble am I going to have migrating?

I decided to go with Android. I have been using the HTC One that Telecom sent me, and will be available from 7th May. This handset changed whatever I had against Android.

Oh, I've been running the Nexus 4 and love it, just bored.
