Hi,

Can anyone out there with a Samsung Ativ S let me know if they have had the latest update pushed to their phone. Mine is still running 8.09903.10 and from my understanding 8.0.10211.204 (Portico) should be available now. Checking for updates through my phone always tells me that it is up-to-date.

Telecom Samsung Ativ S

OS - 8.01.10211.204
FW - 2424.13.2.1

Hmm...mine is on the Telecom network also - although the phone was originally part of a deal with 2 degrees. But it is on 8.0.9903.10 and won't detect and upgrades.

If it's running the 2* firmware it won't get Telecom's updates.

It's currently running:

OS version: 8.09903.10
FW revision number: 2424.13.01.2
HW revision number: 15.15.1.0

Does anyone know of a way to force it to update..maybe a factory reset??

If 2* have not released it, it won't be there for you when you factory reset. You could try going to Settings --> Software Update?

Thanks. I've tried the software update and tried installing a 2* SIM but no updates.

Maybe I'll give 2* a ring...but its unlikely that'll get me anywhere ;).

I too have a 2degrees ativ s and am on the same 8.0.9x version I think l maybe we should move this to the 2d forum to get some attention from the 2d moderators

Asked on their Facebook page yesterday and this was their response: "we haven't received this from Samsung for testing as yet so cannot give an ETA atm"

Thats a cop out surely, as Telecom Ativ S is running the update and probably has done for sometime, whats so different between the Telecom Ativ s and the 2degrees Ativ s
