Hiya Smartphone gurus,

I am new to this technology and was wondering if there is a GPS software out for New Zealand local maps for Windows Mobile for Smartphones.

I tried the Handango website but they had maps for US and Europe only.

Thank you for reading my question!

:)

I know of a couple of map software for New Zealand, but both running on Windows Mobile Pocket PC. Perhaps you could contact one of the companies and check if there are plans for Smartphones? Check this this article.

I don't have an affirmative, but a negative -

I recently purchased the Belkin F8T051 Bluetooth GPS receiver and confirmed that it doesn't work with my Motorola MPx220.

Any ideas if plans exist for a SmartPhone-compatible bluetooth GPS solution?

Strange... As far as I known all Bluetooth GPS solutions currently in the market can connect to Windows Mobile Smartphones. IT may not be straight forward, and require some configuration but they do work. As for software, a search on Geekzone Software Store will give some results.

Also Microsoft Pocket Streets 2005 (and 2004) is available for Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Windows Mobile Smartphone - and it works with any Bluetooth GPS.
