Found the last Pokemon I needed to complete the PokeDex - Hitmonlee
Technically need to do 5 more evolves before I complete 141/141, but I have been saving those for a lucky egg grinding session

Couple of announcements made today from Niantic via Facebook and Twitter
- Eevee now hatches from a 5km egg and not a 10km egg (though a 10km egg picked up before today could still contain an Eevee), while Pidgys and Rattata no longer hatch from a 2km egg
- Pidgey and Rattata have also had their spawns reduced, replaced by other 'mons

While I understand the reasoning behind the move, Pidgy was my go to easy XP grinder ... and now may be harder to get

Nice work.  I'm at 125 with 11 of those I need to evolve to get their final evolutions.  That's going to be either lots of buddy walking or some lucky finds.

Not sorry to see the reduced Pidgey and Rattata spawn levels.  Prefer more variety overall.  Plus there's 3 that have the 12 candy first evolution so a bit of choice for the XP grinding.

Far out - caught a Chansey in my street this afternoon. GPS drift got my character within range but my son's wasn't so cooperative, so I ended up sprinting down the street with his phone in order to nab it. Both of us are very happy with our new catches - one more step towards a completed Pokedex.

With the recent updates, looks like you can't use the PKMN wristband to spin stops anymore while driving/on the bus etc.

It's even become harder to do them from the app itself.  Used to be able to hit all the railway station pokestops on the way in the town even on the express train, but now can only get the ones we stop at, or if we're going somewhat less than full speed.

Something strange happened today, but I clicked off the screen before I actually read the full thing, because I wasn't paying attention.

It was just after midday and I got a 500XP bonus, and I think I caught a glimpse for something like "First Pokemon of the day" or something along those lines.

I'll need to see if the same thing happens again, midday tomorrow.

Also, Pokedex up to 132 :D

See if there's anything on your Journal.

Mine only goes back to 12:30 due to a productive lunch walk along Lambton Quay.

Yup, that'll be the daily bonus for the first pokemon and first pokestop you get each day. Do it seven days in a row and get a streak reward.

Basically this. It's their way of getting you to come back to the game everyday.

Sell ASAP. Looks like it might be a bit worthless now?

I've been using my PoGo+ to spin the pokestop outside my building every 5 minutes. Seems to work well but disconnects every so often from my phone and I have to reconnect it.

Hmmm, I think some more testing might be needed first :) Was working fine for me yesterday evening.

The updates only came through the past few hours or so.

If you use it while driving etc try it when you go home tonight.

midday tomorrow.

I read that the daily bonus will reset at midnight local time. So it will be possible to get the bonus at 22:59 and 00:01.

My pokedex is at 137 caught out of 140 seen on level 29. Waiting for a good specimen to evolve Omanyte and Machop. Snorlax and Chansey continues to evade. Will have to wait for trading to fix up Kangaskhan as I'm not going to Aussie anytime soon.
