On my drive to work today I managed to spin a pokestop with my PoGo+, and also catch several pokemon. All while travelling at 40-50km/h. Still haven't updated the app to the latest version, cos it's not available to me yet.

It might only be gameplay from the handset itself where you get speed locked. Not sure.

It looks that way to me. I had the screen turned on as I was driving and I noticed that the nearby sightings list was blank and there were no pokemon on the map, but when my PoGo+ notified me that there was a pokemon to catch a pink PoGo+ badge was shown on the map to indicate which pokemon the PoGo+ had targetted (even though I couldn't see the pokemon so had no idea what it was).

I received notification of my 3rd day PokeStop spin streak today, approx 18 hours after receiving the 2nd day streak (which was received about 3 hours after the 1st notification). Be interesting to see when the 4th day triggers, since it hasn't even been 24 hours since I got the 1st notification.

Yesterday I had lost the 2 spawn points I had at work, today I have 3 -- xx.10, xx.38 and xx.50
Double checking the times as I had xx.55 as one, but I believe that turned into the xx.38 as it didn't show up again

Around the same time, PokeStops are giving around 6-7 items per normal spin, and 12-14 items on the 10th spin

Regarding the Plus - I was doing around 45km/hr last night and was still getting notifications of Pokemon and Stops being picked up. Some I was able to collect, but others I wasn't so lucky.
I think it really does depend on what it has locked on it, as I noticed it will not de-lock from a Stop if you leave it alone

Thanks for confirming what I was seeing with my PoGo+.

Thinking those extra spawn points from earlier were just teases, or I was "drifting" ever so slightly as I have not been able to get the xx:10 or xx.50 spawn again

So according to official Pokemon Go Facebook and Twitter, the increased drops from PokeStops and the increased number of Pokemon are a limited event type thing for the rollout of the daily first Pokemon/PokeStop bonus.

One day Niantic will learn to include timezones in their announcements.

Began around 9.30am 8/11 here

Yup, for a game that's played internationally they're not very good at communicating dates and times. I play Munzee and every time they make an announcement that includes dates and times they always specify that they're in MHQ (Munzee Headquarters) time, which all players know is in US Central time (because their HQ is in Texas).

Could have left it at the bold underlined bit. :-p

Just drove to Long Bay from Glenfield and then back again via East Coast Road. I got nothing from the Po Go Plus at around 60 km/h, and though it buzzed for Pokémon and Pokestops from 45-55 km/h, all the stops I clicked on failed. I caught a few Pokémon though. This is quite disappointing, but since most of my driving is in heavier traffic at lower speed, being able to use it then is still better than nothing.

I did discover that Long Bay is both a Pinsir and Eevee nest (by the bay 4 playground). The amount of Eevee spawning was insane. At one point I had three at my feet plus two Pinsir. Shame it wasn't Dratini! Grabbed loads of loot from the Pokestops there. Must make sure I do a quick tour of the local stops each day for the rest of the week.

I spun my first PokeStop this morning via the Plus (phone was locked in my pocket) and received the notification that I had received the fourth day of the PokeStop streak upon getting to work and opening the app (a good 20 minutes later). However I haven't had any such notification for getting the Pokemon capture streak - anyone seeing the same?

Running the latest version of the app on Android

Yep, getting both notifications in the app on first of each this morning.  Day 4 for both.  Not using any extra devices though.
