The current event is productive.  In a little over an hour of lunch walking, collected 81 pokemon on the Wellington Waterfront.  Hatched two eggs.  And picked up a new mon that I hadn't previously had with Jynx turning up at Waitangi Park.  Good variety with the high spawning event.

And the pokestops given a higher reward level are able to keep pu with the sheer volume of pokeballs being used.

Yeah. I bought some coins and got more storage space and a bigger item bag.

Well played Niantic...

I upped my bag space to 600 items and I've been stockpiling revives and potions, and throwing out raspberries and pokeballs to make more room (I've kept just 100 of each pokeball type).

Level 30 ...

What do I do now that I have completed the two goals I set about a month into the game (complete NZ Pokedex, reach Level 30)

Max out one of each?
Collect two of each?

Generation two just popped up in the game code for the first time, so hopefully it won't be too much longer before you'll have some new Pokemon to collect. Perhaps focus on collecting candies for the Gen 2 evolutions? You'll need Eevee to get Espeon and Umbreon, Onix to get Steelix, Slowpoke to get Slowking, Horsea to get Kingdra, Chansey to get Blissey (might be a case of buddy-walking that one, unless you get lots of hatches), Oddish to get Bellossom, Zubat to get Crobat, Scyther to get Scizor, Porygon to get Porygon 2 (good name), and Poliwag to get Politoad. Makes catching the current gen ones a bit more interesting. Would also be good to get some decent IV candidates lined up to evolve when the time comes.

Honestly, I hope gen 2 doesn't come out for a while. Id like PvP battles first along other things, along with a good fix for the current gym status which heavily favous the attackers.

Wasn't that one of the last changes?  To heavily favour the attacking party?  Pretty sure that's how I read it.

I'd like to see breeding and trading soon, too. All this incessant tinkering is driving me nuts.

Oh, from what I've read over at Silph Road, the new speed limit for the Plus device is 30mph which is 48km/h. Should be handy at helping people stick to the reduced holiday speed tolerance that happens soon :O) Thankfully a lot of Pokestops are in school zones, where people don't have such a problem with you slowing down.

Ah, that explains why I've been able to get most pokemon/pokestops while driving with my PoGo+. I'm usually drive between 40 and 50km/h on my way to and from work.

Hooray for bad traffic! ;o)

Argh, silly game. I took a detour on the way home from picking up my son from school so we could collect a Pokestop for the day, and he got a 5-day streak notification, but I'm pretty sure mine said 1. Yesterday, the first stop I tried to spin glitched out and said "try again" (even though I was parked at the side of the road) and the next two gave me items but didn't give me a streak notification. Obviously, none of them registered and now I've been reset back to day one. So annoying! I've been going out of my way every day to make sure I spin at least one stop. Is there any way of checking in-game where you're up to on the daily streaks? In other games, like Plants vs Zombies, they have a tick box thingy showing how many days you've completed towards the goal.

I haven't seen anywhere that you can check this in the app.
